Many online travel firms send people for trekking, but often provide only one guide, that too a freelance consultant. They usually do not have necessary equipment or medical supplies. Encroachments on highway pose risk of accidents

There has been a rise in encroachments along the Kullu-Manali highway. Despite the constructions having been removed by the NHAI multiple times, there has been no significant improvement. The highway has only two lanes and these encroachments increase the risk of accidents, especially when vehicles halt at kiosks. Strict fines should be imposed on the offenders and the encroachments should be removed on priority. Prem, Kullu
