The recent wild bear attacks have created panic among villagers living near the forests of Holi tribal area of Chamba district.

A villager in the Holi area, who was attacked by a wild bear on Wednesday, succumbed at his home. Victim Panjaba Ram was grazing his cattle when he was attacked. He was discharged after treatment at a nearby hospital. At home, his condition deteriorated and he died.

Another villager of Holi area was targeted by a wild bear. He too was grazing his livestock. He is under treatment as he has sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, local MLA Jia Lal Kapoor has already directed the officials concerned to provide relief to the affected families.
