Discussion focused on acquiring five “C’s” — critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication and character — and how to inculcate these values by linking them with the academic curriculum. The teachers were apprised of various methods and strategies for imparting value-based education. Activities such as role play, chart making and singing were also organised during the workshop. Keen participation of the teachers was registered in these activities where they illustrated their views through enriching presentations.

Deliberations were also held on the importance of Indian culture and its inherent values, challenges emerging in the new educational scenario and their solutions. During conversational sessions, teachers shared problems emanating in the classrooms and they were advised on practical solutions to deal with them. Additionally, the role of digital platforms and social media in disseminating value education was also elaborated.

On this occasion, various educational videos and short films were also exhibited.
