Wrestling championship from June 2
A four-day national-level wrestling competition, carrying prizes worth Rs 1 crore, will commence on June 2 at Gangath in the neighbouring Indora Assembly constituency on the occasion of district-level Kyalu Baba fair.
Men and women wrestlers from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Jammu will participate in the competition. Besides, wrestlers from Iran have confirmed their participation to the Kyalu Baba Mela committee.
According to Sunil Gupta, organising secretary of the committee, MLA Malinder Rajan will inaugurate the wrestling championship and Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar will preside over the function in the presence of special guest Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma.
