Yashovardhan Atri, a student of Him Academy Public School, who was selected as member of Indian team to participate in the 10th Asian Yogasana Sports Competition (AYSC), will participate in the championship, set to start in Singapore on January 6.

Yashoverdhan’s coach Jummy Thakur said 23 yoga players were selected from across the country for the Indian Yogasana Team.

Yashovardhan was the only player from the state to be selected in the team.

He has previously won gold medals in various state and national-level competitions.

Yashoverdhan’s father, Narender Atri, said HAPS’ support and his coach played a significant role his son’s success. He said he was hopeful of Yashovardhan’s outstanding performance in Singapore.

Principal (admn) Naina Lakhanpal and principal (academic) Dr Himanshu Sharma wished him success.
