The Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress staged a protest outside the Election Commission office here today against the alleged “vote theft” and “murder of democracy” by the Central Government and the Election Commission of India. The Youth Congress workers burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised “save democracy” slogans.

The Youth Congress leaders alleged that if the blatant plunder of voters’ rights and the murder of democracy were not stopped, they would launch even more intense and widespread movement in the country. They added that the youth were now ready to go to any length to protect democracy. The Youth Congress leaders said that “vote theft” would no longer be tolerated and the youth would be at the forefront in protecting democracy.
