The police deputed at the Gobindghat barrier noticed the youth and immediately informed the Home Guard jawans, who rescued him.
Rohan was pursuing hotel management course from Tehri Garhwal and was under the influence of alcohol when he jumped into the Yamuna. His parents had reportedly snubbed him for consuming alcohol. He was handed over to his parents after a medical check-up. Earlier also, a person from Badripur had jumped into the river at the Yamunaghat. — TNS
