Three Indian nationals, who travelled to Iran on a business trip, have gone missing shortly after their arrival in the country. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the incident on Friday and assured that they are working closely with Iranian authorities to locate the missing individuals.

According to MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the three missing persons had travelled to Iran for business purposes, but their families lost contact with them soon after their arrival. MEA has raised the matter with the Iranian Embassy in Delhi and the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.

“MEA and the Embassy of India in Tehran are in regular touch with the Iranian authorities, and have requested for their assistance in locating the missing nationals and ensuring their safety,” he said.
