Security forces have arrested nine militants of different banned outfits from Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching and Thoubal districts. Five members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (City Meitei) were arrested from Imphal East. One 9 mm pistol, a magazine, 11 live rounds of ammunition, two hand grenades, and three mobilephones were seized from them.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
