Afghanistan’s Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali is scheduled to visit India next week, official sources said here on Friday, underscoring deepening cooperation on healthcare between the two neighbours. The trip, expected around December 17, will mark the third senior-minister visit from Kabul to India in as many months, following visits by Afghanistan’s foreign and commerce ministers.

Officials say the visit comes amid expanding health partnership, with New Delhi already supporting major medical infrastructure projects in Afghanistan and supplying medicines and vaccines to bolster public health services.

Relations have warmed despite New Delhi’s non-recognition of the current Afghan government, with both sides using high-level engagements to address humanitarian and development priorities.
