Senior leaders from the region have been included in the delegations which the government has finalised to mount a global diplomatic offensive against Pakistan, starting May 22.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu have been included in the group going to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria.

Fatehgarh Saheb MP Amar Singh of the Congress has been named in the panel that will travel to the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Denmark.

Congress leaders Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma, BJP's Anurag Thakur and Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Sahney are part of the group going to Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia and South Africa.

Aam Aadmi Party’s Ashok Mittal has been included in the segment assigned to travel Spain, Greece, Russia, Slovenia and Latvia. Former Ambassador Taranjit Sandhu will travel to the US, Brazil, Panama, Russia and Guyana. This group is headed by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.
