The prayer's initial draft was prepared during a meeting in Pune in 1939.

Releasing the prayer in Nagpur on Saturday, Bhagwat said it was a collective resolve of RSS volunteers towards the country and God.

This shared vision is the strength of RSS, he said in the presence of actor Sachin Khedekar, veteran presenter Harish Bhimani and musician Rahul Ranade also attended.

Bhagwat added, "The prayer is an expression of devotion, love, and dedication towards Bharat Mata. It is an expression of our service to the nation and the Almighty to help us serve the nation."
