Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck on Tuesday participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
The Bhutan monarch performed prayers and ‘aarti’ at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj alongside UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Earlier, Wangchuk was welcomed by Adityanath at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow on Monday.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Prayagraj on Wednesday and take a holy dip at the Sangam around 11 am. In line with his commitment to promote and preserve India's spiritual and cultural heritage, Prime Minister has consistently taken proactive steps to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites, a PMO statement said.
