Five of the 11 men convicted of gangraping Bilkis Bano and killing seven members of her family during the 2002 riots on Thursday moved the Supreme Court seeking additional time to surrender.

A Bench led by Justice NV Nagarathna, which had on January 8 quashed the remission granted to them by the Gujarat Government and ordered them to surrender before the jail authorities concerned, posted the matter for hearing on Friday after senior counsel V Chitambaresh mentioned the matter on behalf of the convicts and sought urgent listing.
