The party laid down details of the initiatives it will undertake from September 17 (PM Modi’s birthday) to October 2 (Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary).
The BJP is calling the month Seva Pakhwada, in line with its past practice of marking the birthday month of PM Modi.
The plans for the celebrations include an exhibition on the life and contributions of PM Modi — highlighting his long career in public service — including his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Announcing the programme at the party headquarters, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal said that starting September 21, all districts across the country will host special exhibitions showcasing the PM Mod’s achievements.
Another highlight of Seva Pakhwada will be a nationwide campaign focused on Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, and Viksit Bharat. This campaign will begin on September 25, the birth anniversary of RSS ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and will continue until December, which marks the birth month of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
As part of the Seva Pakhwada, the BJP will also organise blood donation drives, health camps, and sports festivals led by MPs. Additionally, the campaign will include dialogues with prominent civil society members and special events to honour influencers across various states.
A major environmental initiative is also planned, with the BJP aiming to lead a massive plantation drive targeting the planting of 75,000 crore saplings.
