The BSF today apprehended an Indian woman near the India-Bangladesh border in the Jalpaiguri sector with a huge quantity of liquor. The suspect was allegedly trying to smuggle the liquor through the border.

Acting on a tip-off, troops of the Border Post Arjun of the 06 Battalion BSF under the Jalpaiguri Sector of North Bengal Frontier apprehended an Indian woman, a resident of Coochbehar, carrying a huge quantity of liquor.

During search, the BSF personnel recovered four bags containing 191 bottles of country-made liquor, 18 bottles of beer and cash from her possession. The woman was later handed over to the Excise Department, Kuchlibari.
