For the first time, the date sheets have been issued nearly 110 days before the start of the examination.
According to the datesheet, exams start from February 17, 2026, for both classes. The CBSE Class X board exams end on March 10, 2026, while the Class XII board exams end on April 9, 2026.
The tentative CBSE datesheet was released on September 24.
A sufficient gap has been given between two subjects for both classes. “The date of conduct of entrance examinations meant for the students of Class XII have been taken into consideration and efforts have been made to complete the examinations much before the entrance examinations. This will help students in better time management for both the Board and entrance examinations,” CBSE said.
The time of the start of the examinations will be at 10.30 am.
CBSE said the datesheet has been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subjects’ examinations offered by a student fall on the same date.
The early release of the datesheet will give sufficient time to those schools, which have been selected as examination centres, to plan activities accordingly.
“To ensure that the JEE (Main) and CBSE examinations of the students do not coincide, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will require the Registration number of the student of Class XI to be filled in the JEE (Main) application. Accordingly, all the schools are requested to provide the registration number of Class XI to their students applying for JEE(Main),” CBSE said.
CBSE has previously announced that it will conduct two Board examinations for Class X.
