The NIA has arrested a CRPF man for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence officers.

The suspect, Moti Ram Jat, was actively involved in espionage activity and had been sharing classified information related to national security with his handlers since 2023.

Jat, an ASI, who has been dismissed from service by the CRPF, was remanded in NIA custody by a special court in Delhi till June 6.

A resident of Rajasthan, Jat was posted in Kashmir. His social media activities were under surveillance.The NIA found that he was receiving funds from the Pakistani officers through conduits.
