The Delhi High Court on Friday listed for hearing on August 8 the appeal filed by UK-based arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, challenging a trial court’s order that declared him a fugitive economic offender under the 2018 law. The matter came up before Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, who was inclined to reserve an order on Bhandari’s interim plea seeking a stay on the trial court decision passed on July 5. However, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju and ED special counsel Zoheb Hossain urged the court to decide the matter finally instead of issuing an interim relief.
