Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel momentarily lost his footing and slipped on a wet stage soon after paying floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue during the National Unity Day event in Ahmedabad recently.
The mishap occurred on Thurday, just before he was to flag off the Unity March, organised to commemorate the Iron Man’s 150th birth anniversary.

Footage from the event shows the Chief Minister losing balance while stepping down the rain-damp red carpet. His security team promptly helped him regain composure, and he appeared unharmed.
Patel went on to resume his duty — inaugurating the Unity March from Naranpura and even walking with participants for nearly 100 metres.
