A coordinated exercise, ‘Prasthan’, was conducted by the Navy and other armed forces, state and civil agencies in the offshore oil block off the coast of Mumbai.

The exercise aimed to validate measures and procedures to address various contingencies that may arise in oil production platforms. It was conducted on the Ratna platform of the ONGC, located about 85 km west of Mumbai.
