Central Drugs Laboratories have identified 41 drug samples to be Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) in November.

The Health Ministry informed that State Drugs Testing Laboratories had also identified 70 samples as NSQ in the month. A batch of amoxicillin-clavulanate tablets used to treat bacterial infections in ears, lungs, skin, urinary tract and pantoprazole gastro-resistant tablets which are used to treat stomach acid issues have been found to be spurious by drug inspectors in Ghaziabad and Bihar, respectively.

Aspirin, paracetamol, ofloxacin and metoclopramide tablets have been found by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation as NSQ. The Health Ministry said investigation has been initiated.
