Amid grave escalation by Pakistan tonight and neutralisation of eight missiles directed at Jammu, India told the US it will firmly respond to all attempts at escalation.

Speaking to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke said, "Deeply appreciate US commitment to work with India in the fight against terrorism. "

Jaishankar also underlined India’s targeted and measured response to cross-border terrorism.  "Will firmly counter any attempts at escalation," he said.
