EPS beneficiaries can withdraw pension from any bank now

The EPFO has completed the Centralised Pension Payments System (CPPS) rollout in all its regional offices across the country that will benefit over 68 lakh pensioners, the Labour Ministry said on Friday. Under the CPPS, a beneficiary would be able to withdraw pension from any bank. There would be no need to visit the bank for verification at the time of the commencement of the pension and the amount would be immediately credited upon release, the ministry stated.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
