New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has directed the heads of all government hospitals to get an institutional FIR lodged within six hours of any incidence of violence against any healthcare worker. Issuing the order, Dr Atul Goel, Director General of Health Services, said, “Many doctors and other healthcare workers are exposed to verbal and physical aggression.... either by patients or their attendees.”— TNS
