In a major breakthrough against organised crime, two of India’s most wanted gangsters — Venkatesh Garg and Bhanu Rana — have been arrested abroad in a coordinated operation involving Indian security agencies and the Haryana Police. While Garg was apprehended in Georgia, Rana was detained in the US, officials said. Both are expected to be deported to India shortly to face multiple cases registered across Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab. Garg, a native of Narayangarh in Haryana, is wanted in over 10 criminal cases. Rana, originally from Karnal, is a key associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
