The SC on Thursday directed the UP Government to provide medical and magisterial inquiry reports on the death of jailed gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari on March 28, 2024, to his son Umar Ansari in two weeks. A Bench led by Justice Hrishikesh Roy issued the order after senior advocate Kapil Sibal submitted on behalf of Umar that medical and judicial inquiry reports pertaining to Mukhtar’s death were not furnished by the state government.
