Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday said days after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack there was no clarity yet on government strategy on the heinous provocation.

In his address at a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), Kharge said the entire Opposition was standing with the government on the issue which involved national unity even as he reiterated Rahul Gandhi's demand for martyrs status to the victims.

Kharge further said while the government this week accepted the Opposition's demand for a caste based census, the timing of the decision was surprising. "Rahul Gandhi has proved that if you raise issues truthfully, the government has to bow down," said Kharge reiterating the Congress demand to bring a constitutional amendment for removing the 50 per cent existing quota ceiling.
