The incident occurred on school premises triggering a massive protest and vandalism by parents and locals on Wednesday, reports PTI.
Police investigations have revealed a disturbing chat between the accused student and a friend, where the accused confessed to the crime.
Extract from the viral chat:
Friend: Bhai, did you do something today?
Accused: Yes.
Friend: Did you stab someone?
Accused: Who told you?
Friend: Please call for a minute.
Accused: No, I’m with my brother. He doesn’t know what happened.
Friend: He (the victim) has died.
Accused: Tell him (a mutual friend) that I killed him. He knows me—tell him now.
Friend: What actually happened?
Accused: He asked me, “Who are you, and what will you do?”
Friend: You can’t stab someone for that… You could’ve just hit him.
Accused: Whatever happened, happened.
Friend: Take care. Go underground for a while. Delete these chats.
Accused: Ok.
Reports suggest the altercation began after the two students accidentally bumped into each other on the staircase. A verbal exchange escalated quickly, culminating in the Class 8 student stabbing the senior with a knife.
The injured student was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The accused has since been detained by police and a case has been registered.
