The sale of office scrap over the past three years has helped the Government of India in earning Rs 2,364 crore.

The Minister of State in the PM’s Office Jitendra Singh today shared the results of three years of special cleanliness campaign, which the government carried out in its offices, starting 2021.

He said 5.97 lakh official sites across the country were cleared of mess and scrap. As much as 190 lakh square feet space was freed in the process, while 45 lakh record management files were reviewed. “We were able to physically weed out and close files, amounting to 25.19 lakh,” Singh said.
