Sitendra Singh, Leading Seaman of the Navy, who was missing since July 22 after an accident, has been found dead.

His body was found today after intensive diving operations at the naval dockyard in Mumbai. Singh was on board INS Brahmaputra that caught fire while undergoing a re-fit and then listed to one side, causing damage.

Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi visited Mumbai where he directed that INS Brahmaputra be made seaworthy and combat ready at the earliest.
