Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday posted a video of him as he stepped in to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In the video, the PM has silver ‘chhattra’ offerings for Lord Ram as he walked slowly inside the temple.

The post read: “The supernatural moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lala’s life in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional. It is my great pleasure to be a part of this divine program. Hail Siya Ram!”

Dressed in a golden kurta and cream dhoti and patka, he walked into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple holding the silver ‘chhattra’ on a folded red dupatta.

The Prime Minister then took ‘sankalp’ for the consecration ceremony. Modi took part in the elaborate ‘pran pratishtha’ rituals in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
