The growing clout of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was evident again on Friday as the BJP named him one of the 40 star campaigners of the party for the upcoming two phase Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Saini has been included in the list alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Other CMs of BJP-ruled states in the list are Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma, Madhya Pradesh’s Mohan Yadav, Odisha’s Mohan Majhi and Chhattisgarh’s Vishnu Deo Sai.

The list also features Union Cabinet Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Dharmendra Pradhan, MoS Home Nityanand Rai, UP Deputy CM Keshav Maurya and Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhry.

Former Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Karia Munda is also on the list along with former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren who jumped ship from the JMM to the BJP recently.
