The Delhi Police on Tuesday filed a 500-page chargesheet against Bibhav Kumar, a close aide and former personal assistant of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with the alleged assault of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal.

The chargesheet presented before Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal included statements of 50 witnesses. Kumar’s judicial custody was extended till July 30.

The incident in question took place on May 13 at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Delhi. The police have charged Kumar under several sections of the IPC.
