Senior diplomat Manish Gupta, a 1998-batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service, has been appointed India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on Friday.

Gupta is currently serving as High Commissioner of India to Ghana. He is expected to take up his new assignment in Dublin shortly, the MEA said.
