Modi to chair first Council of Ministers’ meet post Operation Sindoor
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on Wednesday, the first after the Pahalgam terror attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor, officials said.
The meeting is also being held as the Modi 3.0 government completes one year in office this month and the PM completes 11 years in office.
The Council of Ministers, which includes Cabinet ministers and the ministers of state, meets once every three to four months. It discusses implementation of key government policies in the presence of top bureaucrats.
The ministers are likely to be given details of Operation Sindoor, which is also expected to figure in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s programmes starting next week to mark the first anniversary of the Modi government in its third term.
The Prime Minister is expected to outline an overall direction of his governance thrust. This will prepare the ministers to communicate with people across the country during the Modi 3.0 anniversary events.
The meeting will also discuss the ‘Viksit Bharat agenda @2047’. Presentations will be made by secretaries of key ministries dealing with infrastructure, foreign affairs, finance, commerce, etc.
