New Delhi, August 3
Indian Navy’s frontline warship INS Tabar completed its visit to St Petersburg, Russia, the Navy said on Friday. The warship was a four-day visit to participate in 328th Russian Navy Day Parade celebrations.
On its departure from St Petersburg, INS Tabar successfully conducted Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Russian navy ship Soobrazitelny.
The Indian Navy said the MPX involved a series of complex naval manoeuvers, including communication drills, search and rescue tactics and replenishment at sea serials. Ships from both navies demonstrated high levels of professionalism and interoperability.
The MPX with the Russian Navy reinforced the strong bilateral naval ties, further strengthening the resolve and commitment towards ensuring enhanced cooperation in the maritime domain, the Navy said describing the visit.
