The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Thursday that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2025 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, in a single day and single shift.

The NTA has been conducting NEET (UG) since 2019 on behalf of the National Medical Commission. This decision follows a recent announcement by the Union Education and Health Ministries that they were yet to decide whether the 2025 exam would be held in pen-and-paper mode or as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

The NTA has also introduced Aadhaar-based authentication as a requirement for NEET (UG) 2025 candidates. The exam will last three hours and 20 minutes.
