BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli on Firday said with the BJP government already in power at the Centre and in Haryana, people now desire a "triple-engine government" to further strengthen governance in the state.

“The double-engine government is ensuring overall development in the state. People of Haryana have decided to form a "triple-engine government" by electing the BJP in MC elections," said the state president while interacting with mediapersons here at BJP district office 'Karna Kamal'.

Badoli also claimed that the BJP would win MC elections with a huge margin. “There two bypolls and elections to the 10 Mayor posts in Haryana. Besides, the poll will be for held for other MCs. We are contesting the elections on the BJP symbol and we are fully prepared for these elections. We will win in these elections,” he said.

When asked about the notice sent to senior BJP leader Anil Vij and reply given by him, Badoli said Vij was a "senior leader" and he had no harsh sentiments. The party followed its policies, and there was nothing much to say about the notice.

About the delay in announcement of candidates, Badoli said: "The elections should be contested properly. Since the Congress is also contesting on its symbol, we will select candidates accordingly."

When asked about the case registered against him in Himachal Pradesh, he refused to say anything. "What is the point of repeating the same thing again and again in the media? The allegations are false, and I have nothing more to say on this matter," he said.

He claimed that the BJP remained grounded and connected to the people. “Our party does not become arrogant. We work at the grassroots level and serve the people. There is no internal rift within the BJP — everyone works for the party," he stated.

On being asked about the Congress’ demand for elections through ballot papers, Badoli accused it of  misleading people.
