New Delhi, August 3
Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Saturday visited PM Sangrahalaya in the Capital and described his experience as “overwhelming and humbling”. PM Narendra Modi hailed the visit.
“I congratulate PM Modi for conceiving this history project which recognises the contributions and diverse backgrounds of our PMs,” Deve Gowda, the supremo of BJP’s NDA ally JD(S), said at the location where he was hosted by former principal secretary to Modi, Nripendra Misra.
In the visitors’ book at the museum, Gowda wrote: “I am supremely happy to be at the PMs’ Museum. I am also overwhelmed by what I saw. For a person like me from a poor farmer’s family in a remote Karnataka village, to be the PM of such a great nation, and be part of a museum like this, eventually, was never part of the scheme of even my dream. But this nation’s robust democracy, its wise people made it possible.” — TNS
