Parliament panel calls SEBI, TRAI chiefs on October 24
Congress leader KC Venugopal-led Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has called the heads of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for deposition as part of a meeting to review the performance of these regulatory bodies.
Notes circulated said the PAC meeting was scheduled for October 24.
Parliament sources said SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch could be questioned by MPs in the Hindenburg-Adani row.
A Hindenburg research report recently alleged that Buch and her husband had stakes in obscure multi-layered offshore funds involved in the alleged Adani money siphoning scam.
