Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen held a telephonic conversation on Tuesday, discussing various aspects of bilateral relations and global developments, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

The two leaders recalled the high-level exchanges between India and Denmark since the launch of the ‘Green Strategic Partnership’ in 2020.

They noted the expansion of the partnership across various sectors, which has created favourable conditions for Danish investments in India, particularly in support of the green transition.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. PM Modi expressed his anticipation for the 3rd India-Nordic Summit, scheduled to be held later this year in Norway, and said he looked forward to meeting PM Frederiksen at the event.
