Following President Droupadi Murmu becoming the first woman head of state to offer prayers at Lord Ayyappa’s temple in Kerala’s Sabarimala, she marked Chhath at Rashtrapati Bhavan, another first.

Earlier, on Wednesday, President Murmu prayed at Sabarimala, becoming the first woman President to do so and the second President to pray at the shrine after the late VV Giri.
