A Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to review the proposed ‘One Nation, One Election’ (ONOE) Bills will be notified tomorrow.

According to a Lok Sabha bulletin, BJP MP from Pali (Rajasthan) PP Chaudhary is likely to head the 31-member panel, which includes Congress MPs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Manish Tewari.

The panel is likely to be officially notified by Speaker Om Birla on December 19.

Other prominent members of the panel from the Lok Sabha are NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule, BJP MPs Bhartruhari Mahtab, Anurag Thakur, Bansuri Swaraj and Sambit Patra. Ten members will be from the Rajya Sabha and they will be named later.

The panel will submit its report to the Speaker on the first day of the last week of the next Budget session.
