The BJP on Thursday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to create Nepal and Bangladesh-like chaos in India and said the Opposition party’s pro –infiltrators’ policy will be thwarted.

After Rahul alleged deletion of votes in Congress dominated booths in Karnataka, BJP’s Anurag Thakur dared him to move court with the allegations.

“Why is Rahul Gandhi afraid of saying these things under oath. He fears a court rap, like he has occasionally got in the past. By levelling false allegations against constitutional authorities, Rahul Gandhi is trying to create in India the same situation as we saw in Nepal and Bangladesh but he will not succeed,” said Thakur, adding that the Congress’ sole agenda was to “protect votes of illegal immigrants and infiltrators”.

“Rahul came with a plan to hurl a hydrogen bomb and ended up doing his usual drama. Infiltrators’ first politics is the Congress policy. By giving voting rights to illegal immigrants, the Congress is weakening the rights of the SCs, STs and OBCs,” said Thakur, who accused Rahul of hatching a conspiracy to “destabilise India at the behest of a toolkit”.

The former union minister asked Rahul what were his intentions behind repeating unfounded allegations against the EC.

Thakur also said the Aland Assembly segment which Rahul mentioned in his remarks today was won by the Congress’ BR Patil.

“Did the Congress win by vote theft? Rahul should tell,” said the five-time Lok Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur.
