The Enforcement Directorate has secured conviction in 42 cases of money laundering since January 1, 2019, said Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in reply to a question on the number of cases related to economic offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. MP Randeep Singh Surjewala had sought data for last five years. Of the total 911 complaints, as many as 257 are still pending.

3 SITP projects in Punjab

No study on economic impact of smog

The govt has not conducted any specific study to evaluate the long-term economic impact of air pollution in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states, replied Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary to a question by MP Randeep Singh Surjewala. There has also been no study to quantify the impact of severe smog in Northern India on industrial output and supply chain delays.
