The grand finale, held on August 18, in Jaipur was a dazzling display of beauty, talent and intellect. Manika, who previously won the Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024 title, was crowned by her predecessor, Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha, in a ceremony that captivated audiences nationwide.
Manika, who completed her schooling in Sriganganagar and is now pursuing her graduation from a college affiliated to Delhi University, will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant scheduled for November 21 in Thailand.
“My journey began in my hometown, Sriganganagar. I came to Delhi and prepared for the competition. We need to inculcate confidence and courage in ourselves. Everyone played a big role in this," she said.
Her father Kamal Kant Suthar is a former assistant administrative officer in the Rajasthan Education Department. Her mother Shakuntala Devi is serving as a teacher at a government school in Panniwala Mahla village of Abohar.
Manika’s victory has sparked widespread celebrations in Sriganganagar, with her family, friends and community expressing immense pride. The 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand, marking the fourth time the country has hosted the event, will see Manika vying for the global title against contestants from around the world, with Miss Universe Denmark, Miss Universe 2024 set to crown her successor.
