Sangh invites Gavai’s mother to 100-year anniversary event

The card, which begins with a salutation to the significance of Vijayadashmi, also says that Dr Nand Kumar, the chief of Prajna Pravah, the intellectual wing of RSS, will be the main speaker at the event.
RSS sources said Dr Kamaltai was invited in her capacity as chairperson of Shri Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust, Amravati. The Gavai family’s influence in Amravati, sources said, remains significant. The family has a strong Ambedkarite legacy and RS Gavai, the CJI’s father, had embraced Buddhism along with Dr BR Ambedkar in 1956. The RSS will hold events in 150 cities to mark its centenary year.
In every such city event, local level influencers will be chief guests as the RSS gears up to embark on its Hindu consolidation pledge in the centenary year. The RSS also has plans to galvanise Hindus across the country with focused brainstorming sessions and door-to- door outreach through the centenary year.
Sangh volunteers will reach 12 crore families with the message of the work that the RSS is doing besides conducting “Hindu Samaj Sammelans (Hindu society seminars) at over one lakh locations in India.
