SRK gets death threat, Raipur lawyer summoned

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat, wherein the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh, the Mumbai police said on Thursday.

The police have registered an extortion case and summoned a lawyer from Chhattisgarh in connection with the threat.

The lawyer from Raipur was summoned as the threat call was made from a phone number registered in his name, a senior police official from the Chhattisgarh capital said. However, the lawyer told the police that he had lost his phone last week and had filed a police complaint, an official said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
