SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has pledged a contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to aid victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Dr TR Paarivendhar, Founder Chancellor of SRMIST, conveyed the institute’s condolences and unwavering support through a letter addressed to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Dr Paarivendhar lauded the Government of India and the armed forces for the bold and successful execution of Operation Sindoor, calling it a reaffirmation of India’s commitment to national sovereignty and the protection of its citizens. “The exemplary courage and precision demonstrated by our armed forces have filled the nation with immense pride and gratitude,” he stated.

SRMIST’s Rs 1 crore contribution will support the welfare and rehabilitation of those affected. Additionally, the institution has expressed its willingness to support the higher education of children from the impacted families until the completion of their academic pursuits.
